Dry Stack Block walls
Building dry stack block walls using concrete masonry, we’re able to offer a durable, hard wearing product. These come in a range of styles, sizes, colours, and the best thing about them is that they won’t rot over time. With partnerships across a range of suppliers, we can work with you to find the right choice of material for you. Most dry stack link blocks can be built up to one metre (1m) in height.
Timber Sleeper Walls
Timber sleeper walls are one of the most popular options when it comes to retaining walls. They’re usually the most affordable and offer a natural appearance. We can design, supply, and install timber sleeper walls in hardwood or we have H4 treated pine options available. These walls boast a 10-15 year lifespan, depending on their environment and the moisture they’re exposed to.
Concrete Sleeper Walls
Concrete sleeper walls make a sturdy, long-lasting retaining wall. The strength of the concrete allows us to build higher and you can rest assured it won’t rot or be eaten by pests. These are ideal if you don’t want to worry about the maintenance of your wall. We can supply these with a range of different colours and finishes including: stack stone, stone, or a timber look. While suppliers offer a 30 year guarantee on these walls, their average lifespan is up to 50 years.
Block Walls
Block walls are created by using a concrete foundation which is prepared with steel rods placed into the concrete. We then lay besser blocks with mortar joints, while steel reinforcements are placed both vertically and horizontally for a sturdy structure. Once the mortar has cured, we can fill the wall with a grout made up of cement, sand, and water. This mixture will fill in all those hollow cores — creating a sturdy block wall that’s built to last. These flexible walls can be painted, rendered, tiled, you name it. You can expect these walls to last anywhere from 50 to 100 years.
Formed Concrete Walls
Formed concrete walls are built with removable forms that create a vertical concrete retaining wall. These can be created to match any shape you’d like. With steel reinforcements and concrete-filled forms, these walls are built to last with a life expectancy of 50 to 100 years. These retaining walls can come with a range of finishes and can be painted, rendered, or tiled. Larger walls or complex applications may require input and design from a professional engineer.
